1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how OnlineJTI (operated by Optimas Organisasjonspsykologi AS) uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage. It supplements section 12 of our Privacy Policy and applies to everyone who visits onlinejti.com or uses the Service.
OnlineJTI uses only entries that are strictly necessary to operate the Service. We do not use cookies or local-storage entries for advertising, behavioural profiling or third-party analytics. Because every entry listed below is strictly necessary, no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)) or the corresponding national implementations.
2. Cookies and storage entries we use
The table below lists every cookie and local-storage entry the Service may set on your device. "Cookie" entries are sent to our server with each request; "Local Storage" entries stay in your browser only.
| Name | Kind | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in. Without it the Service cannot recognise you between page loads. | Session (deleted when you close the browser, or 30 days for "keep me signed in") |
| next-auth.csrf-token | Cookie | Protects against cross-site request forgery on sign-in and account actions. | Session |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Cookie | Remembers your chosen interface language. | 1 year |
| theme | Local Storage | Remembers your light or dark theme preference. | Until cleared |
| cart-storage | Local Storage | Holds the contents of a Practitioner's shopping cart between visits. | Until cleared or checkout completes |
| sidebar-state | Local Storage | Remembers whether the navigation sidebar is collapsed or expanded. | Until cleared |
If you sign in with two-factor authentication, your browser may also receive a short-lived verification cookie. It is automatically removed once verification completes.
3. Why we don't show a consent banner
Under EU and EEA cookie rules (the ePrivacy Directive and its national implementations), consent is required only for entries that are not strictly necessary to deliver the service the user has requested — for example advertising, behavioural analytics, or third-party tracking.
Every entry listed in section 2 is strictly necessary: without them, you cannot sign in, the application cannot defend itself against cross-site request forgery, and your basic preferences (language, theme, cart) cannot persist across page loads. We have made the deliberate product choice not to deploy advertising or third-party analytics. If we ever change this, we will deploy a compliant consent banner and seek your opt-in before any non-essential entry is set.
4. Third-party services
OnlineJTI itself does not embed third-party advertising trackers, analytics pixels or social-media share widgets, and the cookies listed in section 2 are all set by our own domain.
When the Service hands you off to an external page (for example a payment provider's checkout page or a sub-processor's status page) that external site is governed by its own cookie policy. We do not control or share cookies with those sites except as required to operate the integration. Our complete list of sub-processors is in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
5. Managing cookies and storage
You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage at any time in your browser. Note that disabling the entries in section 2 will sign you out and prevent the Service from working.
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Local-storage entries can be cleared via the same browser dialogues, or from the developer tools' Application/Storage panel. Browser "private" or "incognito" modes also clear all entries when the window closes.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies or local-storage entries the Service uses. The current version reference is shown at the top of this page. Material changes are also reflected in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
